‘Just hours after Paramount Skydance issued $52B of debt to fund the biggest Hollywood buyout ever, investors were nursing hundreds of millions in losses, triggering a flurry of angry calls from money managers to Wall Street banks that underwrote the debt.’ www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

You think the Houthis are going to stop? Shit. They fucking had to borrow to loan that money. It's a house of cards, and guess what? HOW THE FUCK WOULD THEY BE WORSE THAN ZASLAV? It's like... I've experienced 5 owners of that company in my life time. It's an Albatross, and it will take them down too

My guess is some of the Saudi Bankroll will be used to manage the 80 Billion Debt along with the usual downsizing and layoffs. I give it a few years before this thing completely flies apart. That's unless they finagle a bailout out of Washington, which honestly would not surprise me.

That's not how that works. The company will exist to make shareholders and CEOs money until it fails, then gets sold off for parts. Neither company will ever be profitable again. By design.

They won't.

Silver lining: the impending collapse of American cultural hegemony, much like the collapse of American political hegemony, is a thing to be celebrated rather than mourned. Let a thousand flowers bloom.
