genius in a gross, manipulative way that people are correctly criticizing and refusing to accept

i’m in the game of marketing and could not disagree more. lying sets a bad precedent. if your marketing makes a lot of people realize you can’t be trusted, you’re doing a bad job. and an immoral one.

is there something specific in their release you find deceptive? afaik this is the beginning and the end of their public statement:

yes, the “cruel to our models” part. it’s misleading to act as if the models have any kind of experience or that you can be cruel “to” software. you can’t. and they put it that way knowingly and intentionally.
