This is neat! Is the a world where this supports partial bundling? I love the unbundle approach, but I also have a few devDependencies that I wanna bundle in (somewhere in the dist, I dont care), instead of having them as regular dependencies.

Congrats, this is great! I've been wanting to migrate my template. Just confirming, does unbundle mode: * use tsc for type info? (I see ID is mentioned in docs as optional) * output .js asap, before tsc is done? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I couldn't find it in the docs

tsdown has integrated tsc, so you don’t need to worry about generating dts files. Simply declare the `types` field in your package.json and run `tsdown`. tsdown.dev/options/dts#...

What's the benefit of doing this versus just running tsc? Is that effectively what it's doing or does it still call rolldown under the hood?

That’s right—it’s still built on Rolldown, so you can take advantage of Rolldown plugins, inline dependencies, tree-shaking, clean dist, and more.

So do dependencies get bundled? And your own code is basically just transpiled if no plugins etc are used

Has anyone tried playing with ts native preview and t down/roll down?
