this is so awesome! will update my blog with this. thanks! question: how about comments? In the past, I was embedding a Bluesky post and fetching the likes, reposts, and replies. Is there a built-in way to do so?

Thank you! 🙏🏻 It currently doesn’t but certainly open to it! Standard.site has a property called bskyPostRef that can be used to reference a post for tracking comments. Perhaps the CLI could automatically create posts and then update the document record? Would love to hear hear what you think!

It would be awesome if the CLI could create a bsky post and add it to the record. Something like the title and optionally a small excerpt (I have an excerpt field in my frontmatter but there might be standard field for it) with a check on post length.

this is so cool!! bringing existing blogs into the atmosphere without rebuilding from scratch is exactly the kind of pragmatic tooling atproto needs making the protocol accessible to people who already have their setup = more adoption 💙

lol 😂 Love your plugin btw! While I did use Astro in the demo, Sequoia is designed to work with any SSG like 11ty, Hugo, Zola, Gatsby, etc. If someone is using Astro I think your plugin would be way smoother

Very cool, thank you! I'll try to figure out how to use it with my Kirby setup (.txt based, but I should be able to convert the posts to .md pretty easily). On a sidenote, you really are getting me more excited about #atproto these past few weeks than I was before 🤓

I appreciate it!! If you end up needing some specific requirements to make it work I'd love to see the details and help where I can 🫡 Glad to hear the love for ATProto is infectious! :)

I don’t believe so? If you change your frontmatter format, you would change the config file to match your changes, and then it will start using those mappings instead. Although if I’m not understanding please let me know!

Totally get that! I actually have the option to build and distribute as a binary via Bun, so I’ll open an issue to start working on that. Doesn’t necessarily negate the fact that it’s TS and has dependencies but will remove the need to install through npm

Nice, I just used it to push up my old posts. My blog uses the path of posts for their publication date though, so I had to duplicate that info. Might be nice to support extracting from there too.
