My simple solve it all real easy solution: elect a dem president who’ll be an even bigger asshole than trump. Paint the White House lgbtq. Put his name on the washington monument. Make every relative a secretary of something. Form a company w his kid and give him a billion $ no-bid contract. 1/2

Two prongs definitely worth pursuing. The "We look forward, not back" of Obama will definitely not be enough. Would be nice to have the "Left" of American Politics actually provide a vision for the future as well though. That will go a long way to dismantling MAGA.

Well right now the DSA folks have a pretty unserious Abolish Bedtime kind of platform. But honestly the idea of show trials for MAGAts is deeply silly. Trump will pardon them all anyway on the way out, just let it go.

Now if we want to pack the courts with more sensible judges and have a positive legislative agenda I’m all for it-but there just is not a present world where these assholes are all going to prison.

You do realize "it's not going to happen so why try" is why it doesn't happen. Packing the courts and expanding the Supreme Court would make charging them *easier* and should be why we try.
