Isn't there something in the God book talking about rich men, camels, eye of a needle, I also recall a natty turn of phrase about the love of money being the root of all evil.

No doubt there will soon be hundreds of pieces in the papers about Orr and demands for Cambridge to explain how he could ever have received an academic appointment. Won't there?

Living proof that having a deep knowledge of religion, ethics and right and wrong doesn't mean he is an honest, ethical man who practices right over wrong.

James Orr, Policy Head of Reform, is a moral and ethical giant per the attached quote. To be fair, this was before he was caught on video apparently doing a deal to break electoral law. 1/

Excellent article, thank you for posting. Spot on about the veneer of moral and intellectual respectability Orr confers to a reprehensible politics. Very Oswald Mosley.

Yeah, it's almost as if he's using Christianity and divinity to cover up his malignant true self. Almost, but we can see who he really is, particularly in his persecution of Jason Ardlay. I mean, what would Jesus have done?!

"(A)s a postdoctoral fellow in theology, ethics and public life at Oxford," James Orr must have been held up chatting with the fellows whenever the "ethics" portion of studies arose. What a horrible and pitiful excuse for an associate professor, much less a human being.

Bloody hell, I had no idea. An Ass. Prof. of divinity; a lawyer; wife an Anglican vicar; thesis 'divine lawmaking...'. And a snr. adviser to (almost) the worst UK political party. And a child named Godfrey (miow, sorry, not sorry)...and now this!

And will his ethics allow him to spill the beans on other such arrangements. I don’t think we believe this was the first time he was involved in the art of parting potential donors from their cash.
