I don't want to ruin everyone's mood, but the RN has a plan B. Their younger representative: Jordane Bardella, has been shown as the face of the party for quite a while now. While he can't run for president because he's a representative in the EU senate, he will probably quit his job to do so.

does a suspended sentence followed by a tracker bracelet really count as prison? if i embezzled millions of euros of public money to fund hateful politics, i'd expect to be incarcerated. as it stands, she can order in, watch netflix, have friends over, write a book about "her struggle" etc.

Frankly, I cannot, for the life of me, comprehend HOW that happened. I could have sworn there were standards that included things like no criminal records. Did a change occur to aid ex-cons in getting a job? Did Trump use this to be a DEI hire?

I really really hope the evidence against her is strong and holds up against any appeal otherwise she will use this to her advantage and as reasoning to attack what she will call a biased establishment working against her and the people:-(
