This can't even be "justified" by a claim that it will save money. It costs far more to institutionalize a disabled or elderly person than it does for that person to receive care in a loved one's home. This is just deranged and evil.

The real aim is to institutionalize the disabled & pay the SSI benefit directly to a private company (ex. CoreCivic) to run the institution -- a.k.a. prison -- for profit.
