Join community residents coming together to say No Kings, No Concentration Camps. ICE can only surge violence into our communities if it has the infrastructure to hold the broken bodies and families. This concentration camp will be the site of misery and death. It must be stopped.

Ok, MI peeps……..get to it!! Take a page out of the Minneapolis Strong playbook!! Organize, protest, show up at permit meetings, anywhere ICE will be trying to implement their EVIL, ILLEGAL CONCENTRATION CAMP!! GET TO IT!!

Romulus, MI...you know what to do! Peaceful protest and community engagement have successfully stopped these detention centers from happening across America. You can do it, too!!!

ICE claims they have purchased it, and the city and county have not released a statement otherwise. I can't find anything on the Wayne County Register of Deeds website, however. If it did indeed sell, the purchase predates this notice (2/20) by at least a week.

The mayor went on TV last week saying the purchase was made behind the city's back. No inspections, no paperwork filed. They found out when ICE put a couple signs in the windows. Since then, Romulus city Council unanimously passed a resolution, the one you linked above.

Romulus council said as of last night's meeting they can't get a response from anyone federal on the building and whether it's been purchased or being purchased. Says a lot that this is being sent out publicly instead just because it's in a floodplain, rather than any statement to the locals.

I've reached out to ICE Public Affairs to ask them to explain the timing of the purchase as it pertains to this submission, and a previous one for Chester, NY that has since gone missing.
