except blogging was good and AI slop is bad, and the fact that you don't have the critical judgment to discern the difference is not an indictment of the rest of us who, in fact, do have five or six brain cells to rub together

Just because angry guys on Fox News complained about something does not mean that everyone thought blogs were bad. Some blogs were/are bad and should be ignored. But the idea of blogs is amazing and there should be more of them. Is this really confusing to the CTO of a microblogging platform?

Wow, a CBS news executive went on Fox News and criticized bloggers as not real journalists. I'm going to have to go ask my AI agent why a legacy media executive might not be a good source for how the average person felt about blogs at the time.

What your bot fails to acknowledge as is that there was strong pushback in the other direction, from bloggers who became journalists and vice versa. This attack on Twitter by the Sunday Times kevinmarks.com/aloadoftwitt... which I parodied epeus.blogspot.com/2009/02/load... is an example

epeus.blogspot.comA load of ThundererFeel the need to tell everyone everything what to think all of the time? Then a newspaper column is for you Launched in 1821, The Sunday Tim...

I could find four equally scathing takes from the current era saying the same about Bluesky. That wouldn't be any more true or defensible than the quotes you posted. If you had a curated feed of smart bloggers in 2005, you klearned more than if you just read the New York Times and watched CNN.

What's great about them, Paul? Is it the collaborative human effort that made them, or is it just the sheer volume of Content(tm) they produced? Because I really think you're missing the point.

That's professional sneering, not anti-slop. A closer equivalent today would be (solely) graphic designers or video editors talking smack about AI prompters. But we have cross-industry criticism of the entire process, from theft, through laziness, to output (and more!) that is called out as slop.
