Okay AI Paul Frazee! What monetization pipelines exist for atproto development (unironically curious) if someone were to start developing in that space? I like free stuff as much as the next guy but it doesn’t pay bills.

Payments from audiences to creators, who will increasingly benefit from their content showing up across the atmosphere, and from being able to build sites & apps for their communities that tie into the network, will likely be the primary economic inflow

Providing infrastructure to those creators, whether it's hosting, powertools, payment providers, etc, is how pure builders will likely benefit from that inflow

I would also expect creators to continue to do sponsorships (as in podcasts and longform videos) and while AI seems to be crushing SEO-related ad revenue, social feeds seem to continue to drive attention. We're thinking more about infra at bluesky right now, but the observation holds

I also remain interested in whether AI coding will make paid consumer-facing cloud platforms meaningfully appealing, like iCloud but for the web, since it's becoming possible to easily build apps. Like, do you want Bluesky, or do you want a way to run your own Bluesky?

This is food for thought I suppose. I can already think of a way to give bsky a skin in way of theme that might be somewhat interesting to others.

I don't want a Jules coded social platform.. im not cool enough. I have a jules coded couple sites doing poorly already... can we keep you

Okay, so context here matters, again bare with me having a long week. To build profitable platforms around atproto one example in the current state would be empowering users in various to expand engagement and monetize branding thus incentivizing paying for the platform for example?
