"Among the most sexist respondents, 79% supported bans. Among the least sexist, 28% did. That gap is not subtle, and it is not easy to explain away." Interesting study.
"A new survey of 1,000 American adults found that the strongest supporters of transgender sports bans are not the people who admire women most: they are the people who hold the most hostile views about women."
This appears to be the source article: theconversation.com/are-transgen...
I still find it amazing that I still run into people insisting that "you can't deny that Ukraine started this war by attacking Russia".
Here, since most people are being dismissive of you, let me be helpful. I don't know what ridiculous piece of Russian propaganda you fell for, but let's just pick one - perhaps this "Ukrainian attack on Donbas"? t.me/nm_dnr/6192 Terrifying stuff, I know, right? But wait a minute... ๐งต

NOVA in a nutshell: 1) Take a soybean. 2) Press the oil. 3) Degum the oil. You now have cooking oil lacking the healthy phospholipids. Not a traditional, yet the NOVA classification: not ultraprocessed. 4) The healthy phospholipids (lecithin) stripped are an "industrial emulsifier": ultraprocessed.
The NOVA classification defines something as "ultraprocessed if it contains at least five ingredients at at least one is either cosmetic or not found in traditional cooking. This is so much - and let me be blunt - bullshit. First off, the number of ingredients in a food is *entirely irrelevant*.
Personally: I see little difference between: 1) telling a developer "use Claude" and "implement X", and them saying "I finished what you wanted". vs. 2) telling a low-level manager "use your team" and "implement X feature", and them saying "I finished what you wanted".
Jesus Christ. This is one of the most horrific things a CTO could say to an engineer. It's like this person is there to destroy the organization. (LinkedIn)

Come on, are we really going to narrow this down to two apple varieties that are basically the same? Jonagold is Golden Delicious x Jonathan, and Honeycrisp is Keepsake x (Duchess of Oldenburg x Golden Delicious). They're cousins. Come on, when it comes to apples, be bold ;)
Wealthy people attempting to shift their personal tax burdens and luxury spending into their companies is the obvious tax dodge in any high tax regime, and legislation must preemptively anticipate this behavior, as well as enable regulators to be rapidly responsive to new cheats as they emerge.

Are we gonna do this, Bluesky? Are we all just gonna not understand accounting? 72B$ of the 80B$ is convertible notes. They became greater liabilities because the company's valuation skyrocketed. They don't have an 80B$ loss in the sense that almost everyone here is imagining.
Anthropic logged net loss of over $80 billion in first half of 2026, WSJ reports reut.rs/4z2Zi9J

Iran is unique for its heavy emphasis on IR-homing loitering munitions like the Project 358, which is practically ideal as a Reaper killer: defencesecurityasia.com/en/iran-sile... It's boosted by a rocket booster, then switches to loitering subsonic turbojet flight with passive IR-homing.
Fun fact: this nearly actually happened. www.theguardian.com/film/2014/de...

[My brain] Lanley: "Well, sir, thereโs nothing on Earth like a genuine, bona fide, polyarch-steled, adventitious fibrous rooted monocot! Whatโd I say?" Crowd: Monocot! Lanley: "Whatโs its name?" Crowd: "Monocot!" Apu: "Is there a chance root girth could grow?" Lanley: "Not on your life, no ...
Obviously, there is precisely one appropriate counter to this, and that is that Europe proposes that the leaders of European states and non-European allies summit with Zelensky next month to discuss how to end the war in Ukraine's favour.
BREAKING WSJ: Vladimir Putin has proposed that he, Trump, and Xi Jinping meet next month to talk about Ukraine in an attempt to negotiate an end to the four-year conflict that would favor Moscow.

Normally the human eye + the blackbody curve prevents stars from appearing green (too much blue starts arriving by the time the green-red ratio is strong enough). But add in some sodium.... www.reuters.com/science/newl... They also found a salmon-pink one that's been eating carbon.
