Yeah that's the last straw, I hadn't canceled my sub yet because I was like "times are hard for journalism" but it's a clear 404 Journalism Not Found at this point Can't have my money going to this kind of harassment

so, I agree that being trans doesn't exclude one from criticism (if one disagrees, they can criticize me, a trans woman), and also generally I treat "bruh" as gender-neutral. but no org trying to establish itself as a respectable news org should dogpile, especially dogpile a small account.

i think it's also worth noting that even if one doesn't agree with shibbi (i don't), it's a rather harmless position that's politically not too far from where 404 signals itself, just a very different view on the same issue. will they dogpile someone who talks to plushies for comfort next week?

I think it is, because there’s a plenty target rich environment of cisgender public figures who a media company could pick to make fun of. Pointing and laughing at an arbitrary trans lady just sucks more than doing that to someone who isn’t, ceteris paribus
