I just received an email that the Grace Hopper Celebration scheduled for later this month has officially been cancelled 😢. When I was a student I had such an incredible experience attending GHC with my university’s Women in Computer Science (WiCS) organization.

it is so wild and is very much a large recession indicator to me

Obviously disappointing but nothing can stop women in tech, no matter what Trump tries.

It’s an absolute shame to see them not being able to make it happen this year. 💔

It really is! And I’m assuming based on the last-minute timing that they were really hoping to pull off magic to make it happen.

I was just reading that news & decided to look it up here. I hope some people who can afford it will donate their registration to the organization. Hopefully they'll have enough money to do it next year. I imagine they're going to have some nonrefundable expenses. I donated at anitab.org/donate
