ah yes once again the racists are the real victims

The Verge@theverge.com

1Password faced immediate backlash from customers this week over a $300,000 pledge in support of a Linux distro created by David Heinemeier Hansson, who has regularly published overtly racist blog posts that include comments calling for deportation of ethnic minorities in Europe.

The comment from the other founder mentioned “Omarchy has grown to be the second most used Linux distribution among 1Password users”, which is intensely weird when this is literally the first time I’ve ever heard of the distro.

It’s installed by default in the machine so that’s my guess as to why. Whether people actually log in and use it is another thing

From the repository and docs I saw there's a shortcut for it added automatically, but I couldn't tell if it's actually installed. But if it is installed automatically, and 1Password is counting installs to determine the most popular distros among its users, that would explain it being number 2.
