Neville Chamberlain tried appeasement with Hitler. It didn't work. Trump's concessions to Putin are far worse. It's a betrayal of Ukraine and everything Americans have fought and died to protect for almost 250 years. Trump must be stopped before he destroys our nation.

We are taught in school here (UK) that appeasement was the worst policy at that time. Many history essays have been written on whether a better policy could have stopped the war. I do believe Europe knows what 'never again' really means, but we all need to step up & stand united here. ✌🏼

The difference is that, however misguidedly, Chamberlain believed he was acting in Britain's best interests. Trump is intentionally acting in Russia's best interests and against the best interests of the US and Europe. TL;DR Chamberlain made a mistake. Trump is a collaborator.

He also used the time to maximize aircraft construction and that did give the RAF the juice they needed to win the Battle of Britain. Now if France and the UK had coordinated from the start, they probably could’ve nipped it in the bud, but France was wholly unwilling to commit.

Hitler wanted to conquer the world. Putin, while no angel, just wants Ukraine to be neutral and not a NATO member. And Putin wants his country to have a seat at the table. I’m not a Putin-lover and have lots of qualms about him. But Liberals make him out to be WORSE than Hitler somehow.1

We helped save Europe reluctantly to start. England was holding out but with difficulty.French resistance in Lyon. But it wasn’t just soldiers we built a war machine very fast. Everyone gave up things, nylons, sugar, gas rationing to help. No one whined and complained

Putin records EVERYTHING, including private calls and meetings (ones trump excluded all his advisors from and confiscated translator notes). Who knows what quid pro quo agreements they made. It's highly probable that many members of Congress and close advisors are compromised as well.
