I find it so odd that people think they can go out of their way to insult the people running the place and then cry culture war when they realize that's weird and unpopular. Like you need to accept there's a lot of trans women in tech and that you're the weird one for being mad about the cis purity.

Anyways, I don't think I could contribute to the sqlite team, but I accept that they'd probably suck for me and that reforming catholicism is beyond the scope of my career as an SWE.

It’s both. It’s used to check a box on vendor registration forms and also to tell the world ‘This is what we believe in‘. Two birds one stone kind of thing.
