Coyote in the back yard hunting wild bunnies. Scary as we usually let our smallish dog out without thinking too much. Tried to scare him off by yelling and banging pots and pans. But only thing that really scared him was threatening to throw a rock at him.

This may sound ridiculous but we got our small dog a "Coyote Vest" that made her look very into punk rock. It tripled as high visibility vest + some protection from bites + spikes to fight back.

Out dog hates wearing any sort of clothes. Just freezes and looks at us in a pitiful way. So not sure if this is an option for us. But good idea!
