Both Carmack and Sweeney turned out to be so annoying

My understanding is that it was vibe-reverse engineered and then rewritten in Rust. LLMs played a big part, but I feel it's deserved. After all, these companies keep trying to use LLMs to get rid of the workforce, so it's only fair that we use the same tech to get rid of them.

I don't think it's going to collapse, but I think it will very quickly be one of those companies whose products you have to use, but you utterly despise and can't wait for a competitor to come around, like, say, Microsoft or Adobe.
