Discussion of new Fallout projects should be a big, exciting thing, even if all the games are years off. But doing it as a "well, we just made deep cuts but these studios can still produce video games, honest!" kind of damage control thing just sucks.

It's going to be hard to trust Xbox going forward. "We've seen studios driven into the ground by hands off management... we're going to try huge layoffs, forced PR, and micromanagement next."

Yeah and it’s all so obvious that they should been doing this a decade ago go so all these games could be out by now. I guess 2032 will be cool if they can get there

They had just released a bunch of trailers for studios they knew they were killing. I think even the rubes are gonna have a hard time squaring that circle.

the only thing more embarrassing than their desperate attempts to drum up any positive pr is the fact that some people actually just happily lap it up

Wait, so I'm confused. Do all of the layoffs at Xbox mean that leadership doesn't have a plan? Or is them announcing parts of the plan a cover up for the layoffs and the fact that they don't actually have a plan?

I have never been sadder to hear about a New Vegas remake. Any other point that would have been so exciting but now im like Christ it must suck at Bethesda.

I was nodding and agreeing when you mentioned it on the Podcast. Anything to get folks to look away from the dumpster fire that's been XBOX this year.

This is less important than the awful layoffs but it’s also frustrating not knowing where these games will even end up. If I have a PS5 can I even expect to have access to these now that Microsoft owns the studio? Probably not.
