it's remarkable how quickly "tren de aragua" went from something i had never heard of to a crisis so urgent centuries-old safeguards of liberty and due practice had to be cast aside, even at the acknowledged cost of some innocents getting pressed into indefinite detention and enslavement.

Thank you! And, according to the Trump proclamation under the AEA, TdA is simultaneously a rouge criminal gang that the Maduro regime is fishing, but also is so powerful that it has de facto control of significant parts of the Venezuelan government so it qualifies as an invasion of a state actor

Sounds like the "Caravans of Immigrants" of old, doesn't it? #RepubliKKKans always cook up the most innovative, yet mythical, public safety crisis to foment fear amongst their idiotic fan-base and use it as a rationale to further erode civil rights and enrichment of the private prison business.

It’s reminiscent of MS-13, another gang whose reputation was completely out of line with its actual size and achievements. I’m sorry but a gang that DHS estimated to have 600 members in the US just isn’t a national crisis.

The dark ages of America haven’t begun yet. Trump is gaining more power until he becomes unstoppable. This is why this moment in time is the most crucial and critical in stopping him.

So true. It's actually far worse when you start following the dark money trail. It's unbelievable & worse than a science fiction novel. Stay tuned for info that puts it all together. Why J.D. Vance? What do all the billionaires want? Who is Peter Thiel? Stay tuned ...

Criminal gangs like Hamas, the Taliban, AL Qaeda and more conventional ones like the Mexican Mafia, Bloods, MS-13 and Tren de Aragua are fundamentally all the same from the perspective of evolutionary biology; they are antisocial group formations that occur under certain environmental pressures. 1/2

Examples of such pressure are US drug use, the massive flow of weapons that flow from the US to Mexico and beyond, due to the maladaptive interpretation of the 2nd amendment that lets the individual determine if they are fit to be armed, and the various American interventions in Latin America. 2/2

The mistake is taking any of this at face value—it’s just projecting violence onto black and brown bodies as justification for our violence towards them as a unifying social force in this wicked, racist country. To wit: This is what the American people want and it’s what they’ve always wanted.

True. And specifically, an Economic Bill of Rights that included a Job Guarantee We’ve erased the fact that The Civil Rights Movement was both a formal legal movement & an economic movement And it centered a Job Guarantee as its core economic demand
