Tee Hee. I bought my first car in 1975. It was a Toyota. Toyota had AM/FM radios as Standard Equipment. All American cars offered them as an expensive Optional Extra. 🤪

Not necessarily, we used it to see if lightning was in the air. If there were reports of storms my dad, then my partner would change to AM to see if we could hear it in the atmosphere
