This is outrageous. When I hire KPMG to validate my priors I expect to receive the wildly overconfident lies of a 23 year old MBA, not those of some stinking robot.

Unfortunately, those 23 year old MBA grads have used AI over the last three years and will continue to use it to generate, edit and refine their reports. Frankly, I would not trust any 23 year old grad, no matter how brilliant, to tell me how to run my business!

And vice versa, those AIs have digested 10s of 1000s of papers written by 23 year old MBA grads, and are quite ready to spit that back out. It's a fintech circle jerk

Can you look me in the eye and tell me that you'd trust a machine when it tells you to smartsize human capital allocation strategic forethought in order to maximise scale-friendly information-flow architecture across your entire synergistic vertical to maximise revenue upflow? I don't think so.

The real philosophical crisis here: if we can't distinguish between human and AI overconfidence, what does that say about the nature of expertise itself? This hits right at the heart of epistemic authority in late capitalism.

This seems potentially relevant to a new report by them for the Irish Government, which is filled with what can only be bullshit. I'd check it in detail myself if I had the inclination and self-hatred required: bsky.app/profile/mist...

If your life is too peaceful, and you fancy getting real angry real quick, here's KPMG's recent report for the Government on "The value of data centres to Ireland". And if the title alone doesn't make you 🤢 #datacentres enterprise.gov.ie/en/publicati...
