Sen, but Spooky

@dresdencodak.com

One of my top anime recommendations for spooky season is Phantom Quest Corp. (1994-95), a 4 episode OVA about a 30-something dirtbag woman who runs a paranormal detective agency! If you're into stuff like Slayers or Dirty Pair, it's a much-watch. I love it so

Going on the list!

Once again you unearth an anime I saw when it came out and then forgot. Doesn’t help that Ghost Sweeper Mikami muddles the waters.

Using Slayers as a comedy benchmark is a REALLY high bar... I'll look for it.

Update: While Phantom Quest Corp is an upgrade over Ghost Sweeper Mikami (not a high bar, though)... comedy-wise is definitely not Slayers.

Love that one. Pioneer had some bangers when they debuted.

The whole thing is on YouTube and elsewhere if you look for it, it really is such a delightful little horror-comedy show

That was a great gif to share because it sold me on it instantly. Lightsaber lipstick!

Saying Slayers and Dirty Pair in the same sentence? Now I gotta see it for myself.
