What is it about Sublime that you like over Zed?

Might give it another spin 🤔 I do have a fond memory of it from way back when. I can’t remember exactly what, but the last time I tried ran into a few issues, and ended up on Vscodium since (no complaints there tbh)

God I miss sublime text. Sadly due to accessibility reasons I have to use VSCode, otherwise I would have never left.

I’ve purchased several licenses of sublime text (is sublime merge) and I have zero regrets. Truly one of the top 10 best it-just-works pieces of software I’ve used in my life.

so relatable! it's a shame since i feel that at some level zed wanted to do better: why are my options limited to either sublime or open-source, well-maintained bloatware?

Sublime is great. I feel the same way about emacs

Sublime never quite clicked for me; I moved from Brackets to Atom, VSCode, and now Zed. I really appreciate Zed's simplicity, but I definitely get why some people switch back to Sublime from VSCode or its forks once those start feeling bloated. For me, Zed is the right pick.
