I second Joe Cardillo and add that Moscow-based Kirill Dorofeev being a director of Blockchain Capital is a massive red flag. Dorofeev works for VK, the Russian state social network.

Sorry, the evidence that the Russians are involved is a RocketReach page where a guy says he's a "managing director" of Blockchain Capital and a guy using the same name & Agent Dale Cooper photo has a Facebook page that says he works for VK?

Is it weird for your theory that Blockchain Capital doesn't seem to have an office in Russia or list Dorofeev as one of their principal employees on their website?

Simply seeking to understand your recent series of posts. Anything VC backed needs to hit 12x+ returns - that’s clear. But What’s the punchline out of your posts? Is it that Bluesky will turn into an X over time? Are users in danger (data, etc)? Something else? Thx!

I understand and appreciate the concern around this. Right now though, it feels like ‘anywhere that isn’t X’. And what Bluesky provides is a familiar experience, minus the algorithm and bots, and it’s gained traction. Building a credible community here - sans Musk - is at least *something*

Throughout history, people have been willing to trade autonomy for convenience. Simply be aware you are effectively operating behind enemy lines and any benefits derived here will likely be used against us collectively later. We are incurring a debt.

It may be that people have to be migratory. I haven’t used toilet many SM sites but have noticed that every few years, each seems to transform in negative ways, making it time to make on. I hope this one can stay suitable for some time, but realize that each has vulnerabilities. Ty.
