My apartment building caught on fire earlier today. Lots of damage and my apartment (209) is right beside the one where it happened (208). Made it out immediately and and safe, but scary as fuck. I still don’t have any answers on how much damage there is, or if the building or my stuff will survive.

I might only have the clothes that I’m wearing my wallet, keys, and phone now. I’ll know more tomorrow, but this is kind of a big worry. At least it seems everyone in my building are reported to have survived. community and connection helps a lot in situations like this. May have been much worse.

The update in the article says the building was knocked down an hour ago. I may have lost everything.

Got help through emergency services today. It’s going to be days before I’ll know if anything can be salvaged from my apartment. I guess these all are just memories now. photos.app.goo.gl/CxJ42X2Xawyx...
