Yes. Older, even

Is this old now

Windows 3.1 anyone?

Yep!!

Dos and Win 3.1 holla.

Way older. Ever hear of something called DOS?

I’m this old 🥲

Older

even older!

Much older than that!!!

Green monitor old.

Older…

hood morning nerds 😇

no

Most certainly

Yes. Older than that.

I went to the midnight release of windows 95 with my dad. Must have missed the '96 version.....

I'm this old 😭

I am VaxStation old. Does anyone still remember Digital?

This old 👇👇

Unfortunately yes I am🤥

My first computer was a Tandy HD 1200 with a monochrome monitor and a 10 MB hard drive and 640 K ram. I had it for 5 years and learned to program on it and made some money No Windows, just DOS and a lot of typing and studying. I built my second computer myself, putting two 10 MB hard drives in it.

Why, yes I am!!

How about a Compaq 66 mhz computer with window 3.11 and a windows manager called Tabworks

It's just waiting to play some Oregon Trail.

I may be a bit older... think DOS 2.0 old. <sigh>

Or older.

oh I am way older than that!! :)

Yes

Commodore 64 old. Atari Pong old.

Older. I died of dysentery on the Oregon Trail.

I’m this old

Older

my first windows was 3.1

Way older

I remember that. My first operating system computer I had was windows 98

MS-DOS was my first experience using a computer. Then Windows 3.1, Windows 95, 98, XP, and finally, Windows 7 (I wisely skipped Vista). After that, I switched to a Unix-like OS and almost came full circle.

My family’s first computer was an HP laptop in 2010 😭

Older! I started programming on a ZX81!

I'm actually 37 years older than that. When I was born, a "computer" was the size of a house, cost $1,000,000, and there were only a few dozen on the planet. The first computer I ever used was an IBM 360. First owned was a IBM XT clone, DOS 5.0 + Windows 3.1, 1996.

Replaced my 10 yr old PC in May!

I am windows 3.1 and DOS old... Also remember we had an Amstrad green screen with a game called "Bomb" that I can't even find screenshots for... (name was hand-written on the floppy disk - not sure that was the actual name)

Older

(And I was an adult with a baby at that time) 😅

Older…

Age limit decreases significantly if you were poor growing up

Older ... en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micropr...

Older

Hahaha! You wanna see OLD?! Our first computer was an IBM XT, purchased used from a friend and full of kids' games like Reader Rabbit and Mario Teaches Typing and Oregon Trail. We also had a dot matrix printer, a noisy little thing.

For me my first windows was XP

*Vic-20 that is

that’s the windows I assisted developing! good times

Then two Commodore Pets to share between 20+ students and we could make our own mistakes in Basic, in real-time. Ahem years later, and having fun coding for "work".

I'm not THAT old, but my first computer was a Packard Bell with Windows 3.1 and an onboard 16k modem. My best friend had both a Commodore 64 and a PC with Windows 98 on it.

1st big computer task was writing PhD thesis in 1982-83 on Apple Mac. IBM XT in 1989 first in a long series of PCs in later Canadian government job. Several Dell precision mobile workstations most recently & just got what's likely my last work computer. So over 40 yr+ career have seen many changes!

yes....

Fuck what timeline am I in

Older

Yes, indeed!

Yes. Older, actually. Everything hurts a bit when you get up out of the chair.

I'm Commodore 64 old

I am more this old.

I’m way older. lol

My first computer

f*&king annoying. I'm punchcards and datacassetes old. I have windows 1 for DOS on 360K floppies. There never was a Windows 96

yes

Older.

I’m this old 😁

Ooooolder. I was shopping online via modem for the USMC in the 80s. First computer that wasn't a college mainframe was a trash 80. Had an 8088 that played the starting drum bits of "Back in Black" when booting up. Still looking for a usb 5-1/4" drive to transfer some disks!

I'm Commodore 64 old my friend

Once, I used a multi-boot setup on the same PC with DOS (some extracted from Win98, with LFN and FAT32 support), Win 3.11 for Workgroups (yes, it was OK with the mentioned DOS version), Win 98, and Win 2k.

Yes.

Totally not 😳

I'm older than that. My first computer was a Commodore Pet, back in 1978. 🐈‍⬛

they just don't make 'em like they used to... 😔

Windows 96!!!

Windows 3.1 over here. :( and I still preferred DOS back then lol

Yes…yes I am .. Of course if that was a “Tandy”? I’d still be”that” old🥴🤣

I'm more like Windows 3.1 old.

Older

was trying to figure out when I missed Win 96. Whoosh!

Older!!

Older! No mouse, no internet, CP/M operating system. No GUI - just a green screen with 80 characters per line. A little dot when you started the machine - you needed to know what to type next to the dot to get something to happen.

No! 😄

Hi, I remember kings quest and battle chess on this. The apple 2! Yeah, a bit of time before the iPad existed lol

Omg Windows "96" lol My first was 98, and I miss the big ol' beige boxes...

This, and xp had the most goated intro sounds

Oui... Yep...

Even older. Show me an Atari 400

Now this is a sick setup. Bet it has an impressive 1GB of ram! I can only imagine.

Windows 96 huh?

Yes! Can't believe how far I had to scroll through the replies to find this bad boy 😂

Even older. I had 5.25 floppy discs.

I'm so much older ... 🫤 My first computer was an Ohio Scientific Superboard II 😬

Windows 96?!? And bruh, I started my first real office job and it was Windows 3.11 for Workgroups, and there was one PC on our floor that could go out on the external internet...

C64 old

Much older. ENIAC was still running when I was born.

My parents remember! 🥰

Older... Commodore 64, Atari, etc...

I am that old. Lol!

Older.

Much older.

AT. Big improvement

Yes :(

Yes *sobs in win98* XD

Way older.. pre-Windows, pre-PC

I remember playing bloons on it as a kid

Try Commodore Vic 20 old.

Older

Yes, I am that old. When I got bored, I kinda liked to reinstall Win98 :)

I'm "ooh! They have amber screens now!" old.

Way older than that. I was on CRTs for many years before you could do anything meaningful on a PC.

Is this the missing link between Windows 95 and Windows 98?

😏

I learned to program GECOS on a Honeywell mainframe. You’re gonna’ have to try harder.
