The Cheesecake Factory, one of America’s most famous chain restaurants with a binder-sized menu, has been at the heart of a bitter partisan fight ever since former President Barack Obama used it to aim President Donald Trump’s gilded renovations at the White House. CNN’s Alayna Treene reports.

it's not at the heart of any fight. a joke was made and morons chose it to freak out about. this isn't some partisan fight. this is embarrassing.

Pretty sure the only people who are "bitter" are the ones who are desperate for a culture war fight because nothing else is working to prevent them from getting their butts kicked in the midterms. (This one won't work either.)

I get reporting on this but the amount of energy and resources you are putting into this cheesecake thing seems excessive. Especially considering we have a president, an attorney general, a sec of defense, &c that are actively trying to dismantle our democracy.

I love the Cheesecake Factory. But a theme restaurant is not the decor you want for an elegant home of Govt Building. But one added to by Saddam who decorated in a garish style? Even worse. That’s what Trump does.

We have an economy in shambles, a war without end in Iran, and an utterly corrupt administration, and CNN chooses to report on this !!?!?

i really wanted a hypothetical rendering of a sadam hussein-designed cheesecake factory but the entire media seems to have elisabeth holmes'ed the joke oh and did you (@cnn.com) see the news that our president has been credibly accused of serial rape in a house judiciary report? cheesecake though.
