Ah, it's once again "blocking asshole American centrists who think compromising on trans rights is an acceptable political position" season.

I mean it's a vague catch-all for purportedly middle-of-the road voters who insist that they are neither right nor left wing so best case they have no convictions and worst case they don't want to admit out loud that their politics are awful.

I really fucking do not need to see you scolding people because you think it's okay to throw trans people under the bus so you yourself might achieve some small reprieve from this horrific shitshow.

I gotta say it really feels great seeing so many purported "allies" who will vociferously argue against the importance of my rights because at the end of the day they genuinely do not give a shit.

Is that still followed by the "why didn't our people put aside their own reservations about our lack of commitment on various social issues to the side and vote for us?" Season? ...Cause as a non-American, it's noticeable.

I hope it gets better because it seems like all the USA has is people who would destroy the world over a mean comment, and people who would twiddle their thumbs while someone else destroys the world, and a lot of Americans are good people who deserve actual leadership instead of whatever that all is

I think a big problem is that there are very few people who have any real structural power who actually have any desire to do the hard work required to make things better and a lot of people who just want to maintain the status quo because they're just there to collect a paycheck.

I remember hearing that Harris wouldn't meet with protestors and thinking, "Holy shit, Trump's going to win," The party saying they were the alternative to fascism was also saying they couldn't be bothered to schedule meetings. They bend over backwards for the right but do nothing for their own
