I was debugging a slow router & asked Claudio and it's casually like, "oh, that's just a bug in Linux: they wrote = instead of |= in one of the cases, let's work around it..." And I'm like, "whoa, that's trashy. Can't we upstream a fix?" It's like: "yeah, sure" Now I have to learn that process 😅

is it right? who knows! maybe a netdev person will know. but Claudio is convincingly confident as always

Yeah but there's all this email stuff I have to do and setup Gmail SMTP server app passwords to send emails with git patches in just the right way, etc. It's very 90s quaint.
