Yes I was wondering about that too. Maybe he had a back story about dad sending him to a British boarding school or whatever. Not a typical move for a Wyoming based hedgie though.

right I've done some guilt-tripping charity fundraising targeted at these people and they tend to be from the old south but I assume once you have 'proof' they will pay the bills you are happy to suspend disbelief

Yes, I was interested in that too (the voice over did say he was supposed to have been gone to boarding school here and lives here). I always get the impression that Farage et al are wannabees cosplaying at poshos, so maybe he just came over like another of the same?
