"The color is repellent, almost revolting; a smouldering unclean yellow, strangely faded by the slow-turning sunlight." I made a "Yellow Wallpaper" piece back in 2017, but I re-read the story over the weekend and wanted to try again. Much happier with this version 🖤

I mean I'd be grossed out and hallucinate too if I saw like a peely rotten pus yellow wallpaper in my room (I'm joking but I love this art and I love the story tooooo)

I LOVE this. It’s also made me realize how much of a different picture I had in my head of the yellow wallpaper! The one in my head is more like, a cape cod style attic bedroom, mostly white and very simple, and the sunny wallpaper is the most obnoxious thing in what is almost a sterile room

I worked on a short/feature film adaptation of that story. The wallpaper we used was close to what you drew. Wish I could find the scrap of it that I saved when filming was done.

Is this available to purchase as a print? I didn't see it on InPrnt nor your GalleryNucleus. I'm named for the author specifically for this story and would make that connection displayable (that isn't like a government document)!

I love this story so much! I remember writing a term paper on it and finding so many more interpretations than I anticipated, it's such a good one

love the shoulder height smears at both standing and crawling heights. i think about this story a lot, and love this piece.
