Today I had the most motivated debugging assistant money can buy. Literally. I was testing Revolut payments in production. Every time I didn’t fix a bug… €3 vanished from my account. No Ai assistant beats the debugging pressure of real money flying out the window.

substack felt like a good idea until it ate my whole first post i copied it just in time (paranoid dev reflexes ftw) but can’t even paste it back — it’s still broken is this what the cool kids are using? someone point me to a blog platform that doesn’t fight back

📢 Vibe coders! (Those who didn’t do any programming before) Would you be interested to level up, by learning only the important stuff? No more pulling you hair and screaming at AI to fix it. You would have a solid ground to stand on! No math, algorithms. Just important stuff. #vibecoding

I might be losing my mind… But I’m about to do something wild. Going LIVE. Building an MVP from scratch. No scripts. No second takes. And get this… NO. AI. HELP. Just me, my keyboard, and my old friend Google. This is either going to be brilliant… Or a disaster…. Would you tune in?

Yesterday I was arguing with ChatGpt how it should fix my code for 1hour, because I was to lazy to do it myself. After an hour I gave up and rewrite it myself in 10minutes. Oh AI what a timesaver indeed 🤭

My happiness ended in April 2024… Why? Because when testing Stripe payments, I can’t just spam 4242424242424242 anymore— the form auto-fills 04/24 as the expiry date, and guess what? That’s in the past. 😭💔

I’m not a coffee drinker, but today, for some reason, I decided to follow clean code principles, which suggested drinking coffee. Now my hands are shaking, my heart is racing like I’m sprinting, and I’m making a typo in every other word… Never doing that again.

I gave windsurf ai editor a try past two days. In general I am not huge fan of AI for developers, but Windsurf actually helped me spend more time doing meaningful development and less time figuring out how to fix my docker configuration. I am not completely sold, but on the way 😄🫡

A CS degree is useless—unless you can execute. No one cares about your degree. They care if you can: ✅ Build working systems ✅ Fix things when they break ✅ Handle scale ✅ Push back on bad ideas School won’t teach you this. Get real experience. Build. Launch. Solve problems. That’s what matters.

Being just a developer isn’t enough anymore. AI tools like ChatGPT & Copilot write code well—but we were never just code-writing machines. To stay irreplaceable, you need to: 🧠 Understand business logic 🗣 Talk to stakeholders 🚀 Make strategic decisions [] What else?

I built a side project just to learn a new framework. Never planned to monetize it. A year later? Companies started asking to license it. Lesson? Even your “learning exercises” can turn into income streams. Never underestimate the value of your side projects.

Did you know that 95% of open source projects are abandoned within a year? That means no security updates, no bug fixes, and no new features. How many of those do you rely on? When was the last time you contributed or supported a dependency that keeps your business running?🥶

Most devs make the same mistake with feature requests: they jump straight into coding. But most requests miss the bigger picture—it’s our job to evaluate, not just code. Sometimes, the best solution isn’t code at all. It’s understanding the problem and solving it efficiently.

Laravel tip: Setting your queue to sync in dev? Be careful! Auth::user() works with sync but fails with workers since no user is authenticated. Fix it by passing the user to the job or setting it in the job’s constructor. Save yourself the headache! #Laravel #DevTips

Fluent terminal use should be the norm for developers. It’s faster, prepares you for server management, and makes you look badass in front of the ladies. Would you agree?

Can we normalize reading code? Code isn’t art; it’s a language meant to be understood. If your code feels like a riddle or a secret handshake, you’ve failed the team. Write clear, consistent, and refactored code—it saves time, welcomes contributors, and grows with the project. Agree?

2025 starts today... 🎆 🥂 Your first commit of the year sets the tone for the next 364 days. Make it: - Clean. - Tested. - And not “Quick fix” Let’s start the year right! Happy coding, everyone! 🎉 #NewYear #CleanCode #DeveloperGoals

There is nothing more permanent than a temporary solution… “I will refactor this later” “I don’t have time for tests right now” “Let’s hard code this token for dev purposes” “Comment this line, we will remove it later” “Don’t write docs, we will remember” Sounds familiar?

You are up to date.
