it's hard to complain about non technical people not understanding tech problems in a way that doesn't condescending, but also quite a lot of the time those people are being condescending too, pretending they do understand the problem

compression is awesome but liek, diminishing returns. fitgirl repacks are so packed they take DAYS to unpack and also they still take up all that space afterwards. compressing assets means less storage used, yeah, but you need more CPU to decompress making an already heavy product even heavier

the new grouped notifications API actually fixed this so yay

bluesky's terrible API doesn't hydrate posts in notifications, but it does hydrate full profiles instead of the basic view

the new notifications screen is on the main client under beta features and moderation inbox is on witchsky under Runes -> Feature gates -> moderation_inbox:enable

Google Play Integrity is a funny idea because it has the same problem as the IBM PC Platform in that you can not trust OEMs with anything. They're all dumber than a pound of bricks and will break everything both security and functionality. Get rid of all OEMs
