Decided to take a detour from my main project and work on a one-off thing... There is nothing funnier than coding a boss fight and doing the first test, only for the boss to jump up and drop through the floor to her doom because I messed up the collision switch. It's the little things...

Yeah, there is a basic equipment system with badges. Here's a showcase of a sword badge - probably the most exciting one!

What if you were roasting a sausage over a campfire, but some other person didn't notice you and threw some half-dry grass on top of it? The sausage is now buried between grass and wood, and you have to wait until the grass burns up a bit before you can safely recover it. This could happen to you!

There might be some gimmicks sometimes?

This project isn't super large, but it does have a lot of sprawl. A lot of alternate paths made me include this doodle-y map. A decent chunk of these doodles were pretty fun to draw.

Honestly, sometimes it's very worth looking at what even exists in your home library. There could be, for instance, a really neat historical novel set during the French revolution. I've greatly enjoyed Chevalier de Maison-Rouge and all the ridiculous trickery it contains.

Now this guy... I designed this character way before this game was conceptualized. I was very excited to give him a proper boss fight.

This is my favourite enemy from this project. I find some comedy is its appearance for some reason. A reason that my brain refuses to disclose, sadly!

Sometimes learning something can lead to ??? situations. I needed a music track for a cove area. Made one, it was nice, but too aggressive. Made another, it was too calm; Retooled it into an ending tune. Decided to try making a boss theme instead, ended up with a cove theme somehow? Task completed!
