I shared some quick notes with a colleague about getting started with eoAPI. Hope it helps others! - Getting started locally: eoapi.dev/intro/ - Deploy with CDK: github.com/developments... - Deploy with k8s: github.com/developments... - Generating STAC metadata: github.com/developments...

The Zine is our fresh take on making cloud-optimized formats more engaging: developmentseed.org/blog/2025-02... When I helped restructure the layout and content of the cogeo guide, it lacked that non-dry pull for people new to the space. Kudos to @kiricarini.com for leading us elsewhere!

A project I've been working on for the last 6 months. I feel really strongly about making geospatial technology and data available and understood by as many people as possible. And that requires getting creative with the ways we share information. This is my small contribution to that effort.

I am most looking forward to reconnecting and talking with friends/colleagues on topics like what does it look like to foster a thriving ecosystem, what are our roles as individuals as well as through our varying organizations? I’m at AGU all week - reach out if you want to grab a coffee and chat!

First day of the season was beautiful!

Writing up my recap from SatSummit Climate, it was a good time! Closed out the conference at the NOVA University beach. [also learning GIFs don't render when selected as an image here...]

h3ronpy has been an enormous time-saver in building out the functionality of matching geometries with h3 hexagons on a recent project. If you use h3 in Python, consider using this binding instead!

So, Lisbon has a great bouldering gym right next to the airport with a good lounge coffee area (and it closes at 11pm). Best place to wait for a red eye! (It's called 98gravity)

Closing out our pod week in Lisbon with @vincentsarago.xyz, @alukach.com, and @bitnerd.missinglink.run demoing some early experimentation of combining similarity search (FM) and STAC querying 🧪 @geohacker.in and @ianschuler.bsky.social in attendance!
