i considered re-joining faire for just stickers that i can make at home, but i don't know how worth it it would be to set that up.

i feel like the intersection of "subconscious reference", "inspired by", and "just straight up stole" is a place where a lot of drama and mess tends to bubble up in the online art space. and it's so stressful. :')

this is, in fact, in reference to a situation where someone stole art that i made that was inspired by another artist. it's a sticky and sucky situation to be in :') but like also maybe don't just completely copy someone else's pixel art and turn it into stream avatars to sell. :'D

it feels like, at least once a week, i see another article that makes me feel unhappily relieved that i never pursued working in the games industry after getting a degree in game dev. however, i hate that things keep making me feel like i was 'right' not to chase my dreams. this sucks man.

i think what i want is a place where artists can gather and make friends and share ocs and go insane together, and at this point outside of small-ish dedicated oc discords that just... isnt a thing very much.

so are there actually any social websites specifically for artists where artists can share their art with other artists and it's active with actual users? or are we all SOL?
