I got a job at a restaurant to learn something new, asked for a tour of their kitchen. Everything was frozen prepackaged food. Nothing they made was in-house. I did not come back. I technically lasted about 30 minutes because I asked for the tour. Nice folks, just wasn’t what I was looking for.

My favorite sessions involve improv and following up the shenanigans of the players with consequences. Knowing everything by heart matters a lot less than having fun and getting lost in the moment with your friends.

The first TTRPG I read, played, and ran. 12 hour weekly game sessions in our parents’ garages, the excellent pick up and play Gamma World edition, the incredible legacy with 13th Age, and now I get to see some of its dna in Daggerheart. Incredible system!
