Just wanted to share the running costs of this project. Internet costs Primary 8Gig/8Gig $150.00 Backup 300Mbps/20mbps $30 Power costs $70 due to off setting things during off-peak hours with batteries or it would cost more So roughly the running costs is $250 a month not including domain costs.

Maybe this is more sharable, but here's AgenticAlert. Alerts you if the repo/project uses genAI. Great if you: * Are tired of everyone hyping slop projects * Are tired of genAI in your #recomp / #decomp scene * Are #noAI * Use a browser Protect yourself against AI slop garbage today.

Heya, just wanted everyone to know that we do not use PHP. So everything on our end from furry.watch to my personal sites should be safe from this vulnerability. <3 Though those who do use PHP update asap ^-^

furry.watchFurry.WatchYour one stop location to find furry streamers from Twitch!

If you self-host and run PHP on it (which is very likely) you NEED to update it later today, ASAP. A major vulnerability that affects PHP versions since 5 has been found, which allows remote code execution (very bad). You MUST retweet and share with friends who self-host. THIS IS CRITICAL. ⚠️

We now have our secondary ISP connected. So if things go out at all we should be golden. I also got told once they flip the switch we will get symmetrical speeds ( probably next year ). Also was told that we are the only one on the line pretty much.

Cellular is still there though it is last resort due to how close the connection is to being non-existent.

Somewhat more reliable backup ISP soon vs cellular in this area for all services. ❤️✨️ ( including home network due to in the past streaming/gaming wasnt possible using cellular )

Going to need to buy a fiber to media converter for both ends since it is cable and I dont want any possible backfeed of a surge/lightning strike to fry out my own equipment.

Happy to announce that our uptime over the past year has been over 98.85%. Once the two outages drop off it should be back to 99%+. I only guaranteed 93% but now I will be upping that to 97%. Todays uptime was messed with due to me adding in another ISP status this is now paused till installation.

Hello Streamers!, Twitch decided it was a good idea to include training for AI and to auto opt in everyone for it, so to turn this setting off, go to www.twitch.tv/settings/sec... and scroll all the way to the very bottom before clicking on the "Training for generative AI" slider.

So with the storms lately, be sure you have a UPS backup so you can save your progress n shutdown and have some Wi-Fi while the power is out, since cellular is going to be congested more than likely with everyone trying to figure out what's going on. This is the one I recommend : amzn.to/4peLmFq

Now have the possibility of doing restream hosting so those on iffy internet can stream out to multiple platforms. I can also do a disconnect protection so the platforms don't completely end off the stream. 👀✨️

Next on the list of things to do is make power usage be net 0 for the server room while the sun is out.

Looks like that didnt work ill be home in a few hours to figure out what happened.

Power has been out since 1:47PM wonder when it will come back. 🫠 Luckily have backup power and a backup generator.

Critical updates had to be done restarting the server now. I'll possibly be setting up some sorta 2nd server to keep up everything.

And with that we are now migrated to the homelab with only 30 seconds downtime.

Hello! Due to the cost increases from our 3rd party provider. I'll be moving things back to my own hosting. No longer will we have a canada server though I will have data redundancy for the site and a partial backup for those currently using my hosting partially for cloud flared will be supported.

Pricing for furry.watch to run has been $7.74 a month for our canada server and increasing more recently every 3-6 months, yearly the cost for the site is $34.20 a year. Yeen.host for our hosting site $47.48 a year. I feel transparency should be given since this is a huge project.

10 dollars a month to have 25GB of highspeed then slow down to 3G speeds for backup internet. Luckily we do not have outages often and if we do have an outage while I am home then it will turn on my phone hotspot thats truly unlimited so we dont use up the highspeed allotment.

Costs for the site have been higher than expected so reasons why I need to do this to keep the project going. ( We also do not make money off the site even with advertising options to somewhat help with costs we've only made $0.05 USD. )

I moved away from using T-Mobiles home internet backup due to changes in their plan terms. They've made it so their device will be 100 hours of unlimited highspeed data though they didn't specify how they'd be providing it. Now I've gotten a Unifi 5G Backup strictly to keep us online during outages.

Currently under a power outage for my area and restore times are not listed. We do however have backup power/generators if needed. I’ll let you know if anything happens with restoration.

Status page I will be getting back up and running now just have to do a few things to get it back up atm and it is taking sometime.

As of today, we did update our social images due to a mistake I made. As a respect towards the creator, I’ve removed them from our social promotional image. I will not be mentioning what happened as I was the fuck-up in this case, and it wasn’t their fault. - Nocturnz
