Did I stay up until 6 AM working on this? Yeah I did. Properties now use metamethods so you set them exactly as you would in C# (with distinctions between static and instance!) Vector4/Vector128<float> are now supported with Luau's native vector type.

This is going to be used for The Conservatory's Luau modding API. I wasn't able to find a way to make C# safe. Luau is meant to be fast and embeddable in a safe sandbox, perfect for this. With good API design and strict rules (especially with Luau's strict type checking), mods can be fast and clean

Functions will only print as memory addresses if they are anonymous now. Otherwise, it will try to grab the name from the debugging info (when available). In the case of C# methods, it will use a registry of all wrapped methods to get the original MethodBase and grab its name from that.

I have done it. Luau integration into C# (in this case with Godot). New API to push managed objects/structs to the Luau stack seamlessly. New API to push entire managed C# methods onto the Luau stack.

The translation layer from managed C# methods to Lua's expected method format is long and complicated, but tuned for performance at the cost of memory. Every bound method has its signature analyzed, and IL explicitly generated for the sole purpose of adapting that one method signature into Luau.

I nearly have a translation layer working. I can push a complete C# method onto the Lua stack and my tool will assemble a wrapper to load all the parameters as the correct type.

Oh, late update for The Conservatory. I've been tinkering with a Luau implementation in C#. I don't know if I'll use it, but I've been figuring out how the Lua API works and it's not so bad.

I wanna add the fungal infection: spore mod to my minecraft modpack, but my tolerance for viscera and body horror has seemingly plummeted from what it was a few years ago, and now it triggers anxiety attacks. Which sucks because that mod is really good horror and is mechanically interesting.

Chiitan loves transgender people 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Even a plain statement like this now brings slander and insults, but I think a society where people can live happily as themselves matters more than silence, so I will keep saying it until the account is gone. love everyone🤍

I love how october has devolved into "lets slap 'tober' to the end of some word and draw", to such a degree where my fyp doesnt actually have more than one artist drawing for the same event. all of them are drawing for completely unrelated events. it is indistinguishable from ordinary random art.

not to say its bad. getting people to draw thematically is more important now than it ever was i just find it silly that as someone not invested in any specific event, its too chaotic to see multiple artists' takes on the same daily theme on my fyp, because everyone's doing their own

People who pedal AI compare it to any industrial movement, like the automation of textiles. Were textile manufacturers deliberately trying to hide that their clothes were made with machines? Did they lie to people (be it outright, or by omission) to prevent them from figuring out that fact?

:3 (I actually made this for a friend's sona, who is a white creature, but wanted it for myself too so I made me a dark creature variant)

The mind expansion project was a very interesting success, though largely ignored in favor of the artificial mind project. In it, we created an apparatus to connect the user's mind to vast storage banks and high speed processors. We quickly discovered, that the while they could remember everything,

Performing a heinous sin and actually de-cyborging the sword summoner for a friend's oc. ill probably use the edited base for myself too

this idea fucking sucked why did i do this

This is useful because my concurrency limiter needs to know when the *whole task* is done, not when a section of the function is done. There's probably a better way to do this that allows enqueueing though, and I am going to try it.

Twice now in vrc have I had this exact interaction: person: walks up to me, "hi" me: "hello" person: "what are you doing" me: "peoplewatching" person: "why" me: "i enjoy listening, not talking" person: stands there for like 10 seconds, walks off, "wow people suck at conversations" in the distance

i am not going to feed you entertaining conversation topics. but, i also understand the sentiment. i do know how to change the outcome though

This is one of the last times this kind of ship was allowed to park this close to buildings and vehicles. Relatedly: it's also the last time locals get to see one part of the mall's facade before an unexpected renovation event.

I can't help but feel sad and defeated when seeing the Druffle. Every time I see them is a reminder of how I was taken advantage of, how others get credited for my work and passion while I get a foot note. I so direly want to not feel this way, i want to enjoy what I helped create, but I can't.

i burnt myself out ooprs !!!

For those interested in the starbound mod manager, I'm working on v1.0.0. It's a big update, I'm redoing most of the internals to address the issues I've collected over its lifetime in beta. If a starbound mod manager with separate saves and universes and modpacks sounds good to you,

So, prior to this point, all of my mapmaking was in detail. I never blocked anything out. I just started doing shit and wondered why I couldn't finish projects. lol.

Definitely a new favorite. Avatar: Chimera ECLIPSE by lackofbindings (custom, but it's mostly stock save for some different material properties) World: Subordinate's View by Sournetic

I'm prepping for the v1.0.0 of my Starbound modpack manager, but the code is being changed so dramatically that it will take a while. But I think it'll come out awesome.
