I get that anything is possible in America in 2026, but the police have never been called to arrest, detain, or prevent a 3 year old from playing for being too good at a sport. However, the police do get called far too often to deal with entitled disruptive parents at sporting events. #NevadaPierre

As a former college and semi-pro player with over a decade of club coaching experience... parents, pump your breaks. Talent at a young age is a poor indicator of long-term prospects. Playing for "TikTok moments" can create a selfish teammate. Find a program that faces challenging opposition.

From "one season wonder" to the Ballon d'Or, Harry Kane's crowning individual achievement is a testament to the grind. Never the most talented player, Kane simply refused to view himself as a final product and has outworked everyone in pursuit of his ever higher goals.

A winding, four-loan journey into the first team. Leads his club... then league... then Europe in scoring. Become a world-class 9, then a world-class 10. Replacement for an England legend to all-time top scorer. Kane has simply never been content... and for that, he has finally earned his roses.

Looking for a solid bet this weekend? Put some money down on Bruno Fernandes scoring against Leeds. Why? I played my Wild Card in #FPL today to take advantage of the funds I gained from dropping the Manchester United midfielder from my roster... which means he's an absolute lock for a goal.

Listen in on your commute, on your break, or while pretending to do work!

Nominating this top-class Beavercreek, Ohio, display I stumbled across this morning for the 2026 Ballon d'Gore – a prize I literally just made up – given to the best soccer-themed Halloween decoration of the season. Any other worthy nominees out there?

It was exciting to dust off the mic and talk soccer again... really appreciate @laurelpfahler.bsky.social offering me the opportunity! Give us a listen and smash that subscribe and like button!

With #FIFA awarding their inaugural "Peace Prize" to a politician who has done NOTHING for the sport and for non-sporting, political reasons, they've destroyed their ability to claim themselves neutral arbiters when ruling on their own ban of governmental interference in sporting affairs.

Here are the final #2026WorldCup groups after today's draw in Washington, D.C. The expanded format has diluted the field a bit so there's more parity across the groups than in previous tournaments, plus a few TBD's, but I'm leaning towards Groups I and L for my "Group of Death" nod.

Here's how the #USMNT 's official 2026 World Cup draw worked itself out: 🇺🇸 - USA, FIFA Rank #14 🇦🇺 - AUS, #26 🇵🇾 - PAR, #39 ⁉️ - TBD The final group spot will be one of 🇹🇷 (TUR #25), 🇷🇴 (ROU 47), 🇸🇰 (SVK 45), or 🇽🇰 (KOS 80). What are your thoughts on Group D and the Americans' odds?

Ten years of FC Cincinnati... man. It's difficult to find the right words to capture the complicated emotions intertwined with the club's impact on my life over the last decade. But what I value most about FCC is the platform it provided me to build relationships with so many amazing people.

Up early this morning on vacation to watch my former club, and friends on the coaching staff, challenge for a national championship on a national television broadcast. Give 'em hell, Ohio Galaxies!

Not even a "thank you" for his services or accomplishments? With this piss-poor excuse of a Friday news dump announcement, you'd think Ange was at Spurs for a month and lost every match. Nothing will ever change at Tottenham until Levy divorces himself from sporting decisions. #coys

This extremely good girl has better control with her right foot than I do.

This is Lola. She is one of the most skilled soccer dribblers we've ever seen, so it makes sense that she's already capturing footage for her documentary. 14/10

As a Tottenham supporter of 30+ years, I love that Ange Postecoglou had the balls to say, "Our injury-ravaged squad can't compete on all fronts this season, we're safe from relegation and can't get into Europe through the table...let's go all in on the Europa League and finally win something!" #coys

As embarrassingly bad as the league campaign was, Ange still guided Spurs to two of what you'd expect were his primary pre-season objectives: qualify for the Champions League, and win a trophy. There are plenty of Spurs managers who achieved far less with more and were given the longer leashes.

To dare is to do. Is that finishing an average of fourth over the next 17 years and going trophyless in the process? Maybe Frank could prove me wrong, but I'd rather give Ange another shot at glory again first.

Suppose Spurs sack Ange for Thomas Frank: fine manager, done well at Brentford, feels "safe". He'll reprioritize the EPL & UCL, maybe guide them back to Europe. But I could also see Spurs crashing out early as he rotates the squad to make those priorities happen, with nothing but 4th to show for it.

I understand the stability UCL qualification provides. I also get that betting the house on winning a trophy each season is a foolish strategy. But I want a manager that has the ability and fortitude to achieve sustainability targets AND recognize and seize an opportunity when it's there to take.

On one hand, I can appreciate that I haven't had to coach in mid-summer heat yet this spring. On the other hand, it's super freaking annoying that I haven't gone a single week without having to contemplate cancelling a training session.

The last time Spurs won a trophy, my wife and I weren't even dating. The last time they made a final, my kids were all little. Today, I got to celebrate a major title with them all. The emotions are real. #coys

The quality of the soccer on display in the opening 25 minutes of the #HellIsRealDerby has been phenomenal. Different sides with different strengths–but each really pushing the other. Ohio soccer, it's the heart of it all.

Don't get me wrong: I love the epic power struggle between sects of space wizards and their super cool laser swords... but for me, Andor is the best ever #StarWars media. The writing is phenomenal. The acting is top class. And with characters cut from all cloths, it's so much more relatable.

He's really doing it... he's really trying to play for them all. Godspeed, Kei.

BREAKING: FC Cincinnati are finalizing a deal to sign MLS legend Kei Kamara, per sources. Kamara, 40, will join the club via a supplemental roster slot, I'm told. The center forward is the second-leading scorer in MLS history. He's back. www.givemesport.com/fc-cincinnat...
