another power-up available to the goose is the propeller hat, which allows them to ride vertical wind currents #screenshotsaturday #godot #solodev #wind

mistake I've made number 5039222664: having multiple time signature changes in a track makes lining up the exported audio in a DAW extremely annoying

mistake number 5039222665: I used the wrong sample rate for most of these tracks when calculating the loop points... lol, lmao even

full-frontal nudity!!! I'm 13 years old and this is so cool to me

God this looks so good

Queen’s Domain is launching OCT 30TH!! ⚔️ Excited to announce our retro-fantasy action RPG with brutal combat and traversal-focused exploration will be available soon for PC and Consoles. Coming to Steam, Switch 2, Xbox Series and PS5!

in the process of taking some videos of the game and I have this horrible sinking feeling there are some bugs left in my save systems.... I do not wish to get back into that quagmire just yet haha

each area has one golden egg hidden somewhere for the goose to find. if you collect them all, maybe something cool will happen? #screenshotsaturday #solodev #godot #platformer #egg

There’s a bit near the end where the guy throws his hands in the air and yells “video games!!” lol

oh man... I've never properly clicked with a fire emblem game before but I guess I'll need to try again with this one!

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is a shining jewel in the strategy RPG genre, and an essential one for the Switch 2. I can't wait to play another 80 hours. Our review: https://bit.ly/4h8gG58

I'm a three-day-old baby and this is cool and believable to me

working on some music for the nighttime forest level. this one is a bit more chill than the others so far, but I think it fits the level theme #gamedev #gamemusic #forest #trees

The environments look nice but I’m not really feeling young Link and young Zelda, why do they look so weird? Also I’m sure the voice acting will be terrible, as always. Still I’ll almost certainly buy it lol

a fireman's hat is one of the power ups available to the goose, you can use it to put out fires and even have some obstacles bonk safely off of your head #screenshotsaturday #solodev #godot #platformer #bonk

as a beginner game dev i'm learning that one of the hardest things is learning to ignore the voice in your head that is constantly telling you to just start everything over from fresh

I mean, probably if I did re-write my entire character controller now it would end up slightly better, and re-drawing the UI might improve it slightly... but also if I kept doing these things I'd literally never finish anything

I can’t tell if people are happy or sad about the GTA6 trailer but I do think the kids should try playing a proper game instead, like Yoshi’s Island

think I will try to get a little submission video ready, nice to have a deadline for something, gives me a month to add a little more polish! I also really need to set up my steam page lol

here's all the animation frames for the goose so far! I've been learning pixel art as I go so lots of trial and error, redrawing, etc. pretty happy with this for now. thank you, Aseprite!

I quite like how the point lights look in this nighttime level... but it bugs me a little how they're not very 'retro'-looking. although replacing them with a simple transparent (or dithered?) circle sprite would probably be kind of ugly in comparison. hmmmm...

hi! my name's Jonathan and I'm making a retro-style 2D platformer called GANDER FROM THE GREEN in the excellent @godotengine.org! my inspirations are mostly a mix of the classic Sonic games, Yoshi’s Island, Donkey Kong Country and Mario 3/World.

You are up to date.
