My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

A new survey of 1,000 American adults found that the strongest supporters of transgender sports bans are not the people who admire women most: they are the people who hold the most hostile views about women. www.helenwebberley.com/news/transge...

Getting texts from Carville exhorting me to donate is making me less likely to give money. I hope the DNC understands they're not seeing a hot dime from me when it's him asking.

Khanna: I kind of feel bad for James Carville. It’s like watching an athlete who’s been in ten seasons too long, and you know he’s lost his fastball. Someone has got to just say, “James, you had a great run in 1992. Just enjoy retired life.”

Is he describing the brown shirts?

Trump: "Now our soldiers are allowed to be strong people ... they are the best looking people you've ever seen. And they stand in the streets. And they walk up to a gang and they beat the shit out of them."

Let's fucking go

Valkyries have to throw two players at Angel Reese to try and keep her off the glass, they foul her, and she grabs the offensive rebound anyway.

Boomers: Fuck you, we don't care what you think about [politics, culture, art, you name it] Also Boomers: Why won't you take care of us?

This is a quietly metastasizing moral panic

Vance to any tough question.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

wow -- a sister asks Vance how as a person of faith he can justify ICE's brutality. Vance responds by saying "we're trying to strike the right balance ... sometimes you have people that make mistakes"

If by "exact retribution" you mean "hold people to about for numerous violations of the law", then yes. I do.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Mike Johnson threatens us with a good time: "They want to exact retribution on the Trump administration every hour of every day for the next two years"

The lack of spine in the modern Republican party is a disservice to Americans and a blotch on the memory of patriots like Sen. John McCain.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

WELKER: You urged Congress to pass this law in Sen. Graham's memory. Do you agree with President Trump's decision to lift sanctions on Russia? LANKFORD: He is choosing the American people first is what he's doing

Man, the "Do your own research" crowd really gave up the ghost pretty quickly, huh?

JEFFERIES: “.. the reason credit risk has become more of an issue is that it can no longer be assumed, most particularly with the arrival of the likes of Kimi K3, that large language models will ever be profitable .. .. in this respect, there is a 2008 real estate credit angle to this AI boom ..”

Alabama fans finding out how the other half lives and complaining non-stop about bad referee calls that went against them is really giving me energy.

I was standing in the Melting Point in Athens, GA the last time Georgia beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa. The band stopped playing and we went into the bar and all watched Matt Stafford throw a 1 and done to Mickey Henderson. That is all.

After a game like tonight's, I truly find myself missing the morning read of the breakdown from Senator Blutarsky. I hope you enjoyed this one Senator.

If we're going to talk about the (admittedly) bad no-call on the DPI that took a TD from Bama, we've got to talk about the equally horrendous no-call on the OBVIOUS hold on the TD pass in the 1st half the refs missed. You ended up with 1 TD, so you broke even. No crying Bama fans.

I don't see how people are surprised by this. Trump's extremely experienced at blaming the victim.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

“Zelenskyy could’ve stopped this war many times, and he chose not to … he better damn well stop” — Trump is no longer trying to conceal that he’s fully on Putin’s side

Hey look everybody, he's promising a healthcare plan again. Let's all sit and wait for it.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "We will pass the No Invasion of Our Country Act prohibiting any future president from every opening our borders to illegal immigrants again. We will pass a truly great healthcare plan."

I hope they play this back to him at his Impeachment trial once the Republicans lose the Senate and the House.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump campaigns for Ken Paxton in Texas: "He can be a pain in the ass sometimes, I'll be honest. Is he here, by the way? Oh, there he is. I didn't even know if he was here! I don't care."
