I would’ve never thought fibromyalgia bc I know people with fibromyalgia and their health deteriorated much worse than mine. Mine is like why won’t this shoulder get better while they both spent time in wheel chairs bc it got so bad.

I’m yeah I was off of work for a whole 2 weeks hardly used my shoulder and it somehow got worse but at least I can walk and sight see.

The orthopedic surgeon observation of me being hyper mobile lines up with what the ophthalmologist thought might be causing issues with my eye sight besides having the wrong prescriptions. So that’s 2 doctors that think there is a hyper mobility issue.

I knew I related a little too much to my friend with fibromyalgia! Guess who’s got a referral for a rheumatologist after the orthopedic surgeon said it’s not something she can fix.

The tree guy said he’s never removed a ginkgo tree because they are highly valued and now I feel guilty for wanting to remove it but I get contact dermatitis from the ginkgo fruit, and it drops a lot of fruit.

Also the fruit is very stinky, to the point I got some on my shoes and it made quite a the fuss at work until I realized it was my shoe that stunk.

Today I almost applied for a new job but my supervisor called me in for a check in to inform me that I had qualified for a significant increase and now I’m not applying for a new job.

Welp, I failed. It’s not even October yet and I’ve attained 7 more nutcrackers. In my defense 6 of them are tiny and were free, and I can’t not get a kilted bag pipe playing nutcracker from the Nutcracker Christmas Shop in Edinburgh.

Y’all it turns out I’m not near sighted. My vision has been overcompensating for my near sightedness to the point it made my far sightedness worse. I’ve been wearing the wrong prescription for nearly 10 years.

Damn just accidentally had the best eye appointment of my life. It happens the closet eye doctor covered by my insurance specializes in comorbidities associated with adhd and dyslexia.

Fun facts I’ve learned in Scotland. The native red squirrel species in Europe are experiencing a come back bc pine martens have developed a preference for invassive grey squirrels.

Most surprisingly first aid is everywhere. Like if you’re walking about outside and you’ll see a green sign randomly telling you where a defibrillator is.

Like they are nearly a 100% using renewable energy. Smattering of windmills all over the place but never too many that it ruins the view as everyone seems to be concerned about it the states.

Caught a video of the big buck at Blair Castle in Scotland trying to lower a branch so it could eat the leaves. Don’t worry it’s a pet deer, they let visitors feed them treats which was a fun surprise. Highly recommend a visit.

I can’t believe it, I saw 2 basenjis in 1 day, and one of them sniffed me and let me pat it’s head. They’re a rare dog breed not known for being friendly.

Trying to figure out how I know Ilona Maher’s name, know she’s a professional athlete and can identify her on dancing with stars. Sports aren’t my niche at all, I don’t even know what sport she does but I know her face and name. I’m so baffled.

My little puppy turned 12 this year. Can’t believe how much has changed since then. 12 years ago I was a high schooler with just a puppy and now I’m married in my own home with 2 dogs. Time flies.

Bad news Apple broke my phone. Good news I have a brand new phone. Bad news they some how had a refurbished purple iPhone 11 on hand so I didn’t get an upgrade. They only made pay the price of the battery.

Hot damn my blood pressure was so good the nurse asked me if I was really active and I was like no. We came to the conclusion that I am and that’s how much walking I do at work. It was nice I always feel like I’m failing with taking care of my health.

Blood shortage is so bad I’m actually going to donate. I don’t like to donate bc I’m a fainter but at the same time I don’t like telling doctors they can’t give blood to a patient bc we don’t have any O negs or O pos. We also are short on B negs.

If you’re curious, a large amount of parasitic infections come down to contact with infected fecal matter. Wash your hands, cook your food, keep feces away from produce farms, give your pets parasite prevention, and don’t let them drink from random puddles.

Here is a real world consequence of data centers straining the power grid. Had a power blib last evening and now the donor blood unit fridge thinks it’s on fire. Our copious amount of redundant thermometer say otherwise. (P.S. this is why we love redundancy in lab)

On the more serious side, this is dangerous for hospitals, we have a lot of delicate equipment, life saving drugs that need refrigeration, require significant power and are susceptible to damage from these power flickers. It is a matter of time before this cause serious patient harm.

This massive fridge contains all of our donor blood, can you imagine loosing that to a power outage? Loosing all those O negs, what if we were a trauma center? These flickers are a serious risk, and I don’t think hospitals and government are taking it as serious as they should.

Watching the Pitt. On the downtime episode, and the funniest thing is them not knowing a fax machine bc y’all we use it all the time even when the computer systems are up. It’s surprisingly critical to hospital function, we have multiples on every floor and departments.

My brother’s yesterday well into their adulthood just learned that grandad goes by his middle name and had no idea what his legal first name is.

Can confirm, learned my grandad had multiple names until landing on exclusively using his middle name way later in life than I would like to admit. I had no idea what his legal first name was.

Super excited for summer, not b I’m sick of the cold but bc we just bought kayaks. Got a killer deal bc they are trying to clear out older model kayaks for new ones for next kayaking season.

God I love Subaru. We went shopping for kayaks yesterday and learned that Subaru pre-drilled rack holes into my husband’s Impreza to make it so easy to install crossbars that we feel confident we can do it ourselves. It’s save us $620.

The Doberman winning the AKC show has brought it my attention that a lot of people are still pro-crop and I’m sitting her going wtf. These people are like I need it so my protection dog doesn’t get pulled by the ear and I’m like dude that’s the weakest argument I’ve heard.

Anyone else beside me hate the thin period pads? I find them not absorb any enough for heavy periods and I swear maxi pads are disappearing and the ones that aren’t my skin hate. Any way I’m trying period underwear now since of companies hate me.

My dogs haven’t touched solid ground for a week now. I feel bad for my old boy with hip problems trying to walk around the ice rink our yard has become.

Little bro has finally met a woman he’s serious enough to bring home and I’m trying so hard to suppress the big sister part of me that wants to tell him how to do everything so he doesn’t mess it up bc we like her.
