I bought an ebook from ebooks.com. I had to install Adobe crap to download it. Now I can't read it on my Kobo. I can install a calibre plugin to remove the drm. You know what's a better ux? Freakin' libgen.

Unfortunately, Bluesky is unavailable in Mississippi right now, due to a new state law that requires age verification for all users. While intended for child safety, we think this law poses broader challenges & creates significant barriers that limit free speech & harm smaller platforms like ours.

It's much easier to go from nothing to something, as you don't really have to host anything because everything is stored on bluesky's servers, just setup login and everything's nice and running without any hosting providers, payments or any other mumbo-jumbo you have to deal with in regular webdev.

This is what happens when you believe the hype that vibe coding means you just need an “idea guy” to build a startup. The technology may get there someday but today’s LLM-based AI coding agents ain’t it.

So are we renaming BEAM if it ever ends up primarily maintained by someone who's name doesn't start with a B? Or does that person automatically get a B name? If the former, I'm hoping for a Trevor. I wanna be a TEAM player. #ElixirLang

TIL: In web development, if you put one a tag within another a tag, your inner a tag will be automatically taken out of the outer a tag. I wanted to put invalid HTML within the user's browser so it can be later fixed on client, as it seems it isn't a valid approach 😢 #webdev #html
