As one of the candidates featured in these polls - the infamous one in late June that showed me plummeting into single digits (which was at odds with our internals) - here's the impact of this "experiment"

“Planned improvements include: More on-street parking along College Avenue.” LOL, and also, of course, LMFAO.

when hate is easier, let’s choose love. When love comes, let’s make more room for it🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 What transgender people want is not special proof or permission. It is to live as themselves, with love and pride. That’s all Chiitan hopes light will be lit in the lives of transgender people now in the dark.

These videos were all captured throughout August and represent just a fraction of the incidents reported to UpRide. Each clip shows situations where cyclists were placed in unnecessary danger due to driver behaviour, whether through impatience, lack of awareness, or poor decision-making.

Everyone hates everybody because the streets are primarily designed around one mode; the car, but are used by five. ➡️ Pedestrians ➡️ Busses ➡️ Bikes ➡️ E-bikes (yes they are separate) ➡️ Cars These are all different modes, with different needs. Designing for only 1-2 is a recipe for friction.

We've yet to decode the language of the ancient spike civilisation, but we've just found a whole load of huge spikes so we're guessing something highly esteemed is buried there

Very cool that we just let The Fever have this prime piece of real estate and now there's just a giant fucking wall in the background of the Transit Center. Allegedly there will be a mural there, so it will be a nice giant wall soon. 🤮🤮🤮🤮

This summer, we kept the lights on all night, every night, at five soccer fields across New York City.

This was the scene at Calvert Vaux Park in Gravesend, Brooklyn Tuesday night.

To write a piece—much less be the paper that publishes it—talking about cyclist education as the key to safety when the woman who was killed, Louisa Gag, was deeply involved with advocating for actual safe cycling, is despicable. We are so sorry to our friends in Boston who are dealing with this.

the food safety stuff is another reminder that a large, huge, gigantic part of being a republican is going “lmao why are we spending money to prevent horrifying disasters from happening if they never happen 🤪”

What does it say about our streets when even the people who are the most educated on road safety can’t even survive biking on them

Last month transportation planner Riley O’Neil was killed while biking in Chicago. This month another transportation planner Louisa Gag was killed while biking in Boston. www.bostonglobe.com/2026/07/09/m...

I'll summarize this: Mamdani asked NYers to keep air conditioning at 78 degrees. A wave criticism hit online. A MSNBC broadcast pointed out the US Department of Energy recommends that 78 degree figure. Immediately after, the US Department of Energy deleted 6,000 web pages related to energy saving.

"why do you wear black when riding your bike?" Well it’s mainly due to those being the clothes that I have in my closet. I’m quite boring and rarely add colour and really connected with moody 80s subcultures as a younger person

Six IMPD cruisers showed up after the hit and run but I spent 8 hours on the road on the East Side today, as I do every weekday, and didn’t see a single car pulled over for speeding or blasting through reds on Shadeland, Arlington, Emerson, Franklin, 38th etc. like they do every day.
