Even if you internally aren't that excited over it, or it's crude, or they're a beginner, find ways to be. Your friend made something, they're expressing themselves! They made that with their hands from their feelings/observations/skills, that's so awesome!!

Man ppl gotta be more stoked irl when your friend shows you art they made. It sucks to work hard on something and show it to people you care about and get a reaction like "cool :)" hype up ur homies!!! They did that!! Pick out something to compliment and encourage them!

I think the moral of the day is, you can learn how to do something you've always wanted to do. Just practice. You will fail a lot. You will get frustrated. You will want to quit. But never give up. Keep at it. Keep going. You will eventually get there. And once you do, it's 100% worth the journey.
