Damn. I met him at a local college theater. We were doing tech rehearsals, and he was checking the space out as he'd be doing a show there after our run was up. He was very kind and generous and treated us all as equals working in theater (despite me fanboying out). RIP.

My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.

First 5 RPGs: 1. D&D (Red Box) 2. AD&D (counting it as separate because it is so different from Basic D&D, and because of a time gap) 3. Top Secret 4. Star Trek (FASA) 5. Marvel Super-Heroes

First 5 RPGs: 1. D&D (white box w/Men & Magic, Monsters & Treasure, Underground & Wilderness) 2. Metamorphosis Alpha (GammaWorld but on a vast starship in space) 3. Tunnels and Trolls 4. John Carter, Warlord of Mars 5. Arduin (we just mashed it together with D&D as an expansion)

We had just moved, and I found a kid nearby and started talking to him. We became friends, and he brought me home to meet his parents. He told them "I met a new kid. I think we're about the same age, but he's really short." I was 4. He was 12.

QUESTION OF THE DAY: This sounds like a joke question, but it isn’t. If it doesn’t apply to you, fine. But it’s a serious question with different levels of meaning. And I am genuinely curious. When did you first realize you were weird?

Due to a couple of unforced errors on my part, the charging cable on my laptop was running from the MagSafe port on the left to...the USB-C port on the right. Yes, my computer was trying to charge itself. If that had worked, it would have been quite the blow to the laws of physics.

I'm cheating a little bit, because Faison to play his part for one episode of "Legends of Tomorrow," but, here goes... Scrubs becomes JLI: Faison: Booster Gold Braff: Ted Kord Chalke: Ice Reyes: Fire McGinley: Guy Gardner Flynn: Batman Maschio (The Todd): Flash

My #StarTrek history: I'm 7 or 8 years old, and turn on the TV to see what's on HBO and Showtime. When I flip the channel, the first thing I see is a man screaming, then falling to the ground. Next a disgusting worm/leech looking creature crawls out of his ear, with blood and pus following.

I admit I've never watched it, and he introduces me to the show. We go see Star Trek IV in the theater, and watch the other three eventually during sleepovers. I'm old enough at this point to be able to handle Chekov being taken over by the Ceti Alpha brainworm.

Not long after this, Star Trek: The Next Generation is released, and I am hooked. I have now watched nearly every official Star Trek show released. (I don't think I've seen every Animated Series episode, but I plan to watch when my favorite podcast reaches that show in their viewing).

I immediately change the channel, then look up in the TV Guide what it was I just saw. "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan." "Well, I'm never watching Star Trek again," I thought. Years later, my family & I move to Ventura. My next door neighbor (and best friend for a time) is a giant Star Trek fan.

Tim Curry and Dolly Parton have taught us not only that you should be bigger, weirder, gayer, and freakier, but also that those qualities are what people will love about you. The things that make you strange and amazing are the things that will resonate with other strange and amazing people

Not Canadian myself, but a huge fan of the bands Rush and BNL (among others) and TV shows Being Erica and Slings & Arrows (again, not an inclusive list). Oh, and Kids in the Hall!

Still looking for a guest. Opening it up to basically interested at this point.

Looking for a guest for a Lanterns Deep Dive. My ideal guest for this would have seen at least the 2025 Superman (other current DCU shows/movies are optional). Preferably, any Green Lantern knowledge would be just gleaned from pop culture, rather than studied reading of the comics (for contrast).
