There are a lot of smart objections going around and Palantir has been evil for ages, but also these tech bros, smdh: 12. The atomic age is ending. One age of deterrence, the atomic age, is ending, and a new era of deterrence built on A.I. is set to begin.
Palantir put out a 22-point summary of their CEO's book The Technological Republic. It's pitched as a defence of the West, but if you read it through the VDA framework, verification, deliberation, accountability, what it's actually doing looks rather different. twitter-thread.com/t/2045574398...
I'd prefer to abolish ICE and make airlines pay for their own security. But given federal budgets, seems less dangerous to have these guys in airports around rich people. At least they're off the streets and away from normal people.
Tom Homan just announced on @cnn.com that ICE will be deployed to America's airports starting MONDAY. He says they won't do passenger screening. He also claims agents are so well trained that this should be no big deal. Here in Chicago, like Minneapolis, we've seen the truth about that 'training.'

I will never forget having to edit Jamal’s final, posthumous piece for the Washington Post, after he was murdered. He was calling for free expression in the Arab world. You can read it here : www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/glo...

a 50+ year old electric ~vehicle that has no tablet, no plastic, almost no electronics, some wood, hopefully no asbestos, a manual transmission (speed control is even weirder than that), the original tires, and is still running. Wild youtu.be/bdtxmd8ze7E
